What is the difference between pre-owned and Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned?
A pre-owned vehicle is any previously owned vehicle offered for resale. A Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned vehicle must be less than six years old with fewer than 75,000 miles, have been serviced on schedule, and pass a 165-point inspection at an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer. Mercedes-Benz Certified vehicles are covered by the remainder of the original 4-year/50,000-mile New Vehicle Limited Warranty plus an additional year of coverage with unlimited miles, along with 24-hour roadside assistance.
Can I negotiate the price of a used car?
Our pre-owned vehicles are priced with AutoNation 1Price, which means the price you see is the price you pay. Each vehicle is priced based on current market data, so you can compare options without back-and-forth negotiation.
Do used cars come with a warranty?
It depends on the vehicle. Mercedes-Benz Certified Pre-Owned vehicles include manufacturer-backed warranty coverage. Newer used vehicles may still have time remaining on the original factory warranty, which generally transfers to the next owner. For added peace of mind on any used vehicle, you can also add an extended protection plan.
How can I check a used car's history?
A vehicle history report is available for each vehicle in our pre-owned inventory and shows details such as past ownership, reported accidents, title status, and service records. You can also check any vehicle for open safety recalls by entering its VIN on the NHTSA recall lookup tool.
What should I look for when test driving a used car?
Pay attention to how the vehicle starts, accelerates, brakes, and steers, and listen for unusual noises over bumps and at highway speeds. Test the climate control, infotainment, windows, and driver assistance features, and check that the tires show even wear. Reviewing the vehicle history report before your drive helps you know what to ask about.
Why do AutoNation Mercedes-Benz dealers sell used cars from other brands?
Many of our pre-owned vehicles come from trade-ins, so our inventory includes a variety of makes and models beyond our Mercedes-Benz brand. Every used vehicle on our lot goes through the same inspection process, whether it's a Mercedes-Benz or another make, so you can shop a wide selection in one place.
Can I trade in my current vehicle toward a used car?
Yes. Your trade-in can be applied toward any vehicle in our pre-owned inventory, and we'll handle the payoff if you still owe money on it. You can get a trade-in offer online before you visit one of our AutoNation Mercedes-Benz dealers, and we'll buy your vehicle even if you don't buy one from us.
How do I schedule a test drive of a used car?
